Wanna share it to your friends….




I am not  a Chef  but I love cooking!  I like to share you guys my  winning  recipe  that I won in a contest two  years ago. Yes,  you  read it right,  “I won!”  here, I  joined  a contest before in San Marino Corned Tuna competition and the theme was “Ingenious Recipe”. Well,  to  tell  you  the truth… I joined here because aside from making my own  healthy recipe, I also truly like to own a mini  IPAD,  so  I  tried  my  best  and  wishes to win.  Then,  I  made a recipe out  of  the main ingredient  which  is  the  corned tuna with banana blossom.   Anyway,   this  is  good  for vegetarian  lover.  Banana Blossom  have  plenty  of  health  benefits  and  because  of  this recipe,  luckily,  I won!; . I am so proud and so happy to have my own Mini Ipad out of my cooking habits. Thank you!



Here is the recipe:


“San Marino Corned Tuna w/ Banana Blossom in Cucumber Cups”




3 cups water
2 cups banana blossoms
2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
1 sml. onion (finely chopped)
1/2 Tsp. salt
1/2 Tsp. pepper
1Tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. Soy
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 sml. red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
2 pcs. onion leaves (cut into three)
2 pcs. cucumber
1 can San Marino Corned Tuna




In a pot, place 3 cups of water and add the banana blossoms. Let it boil for 20 minutes. Then drain the water, squeeze the banana blossom and set aside.
Heat the pan with extra virgin olive oil. Add garlic, onion.
Put the well drained banana blossoms in the pan. Add sugar, salt and pepper.
Add soy, then add also the vinegar. Mix it well.
Now, add the main ingredient which is the San Marino corned tuna.
Trim cucumbers; cut into 1 inch-thick slices. With melon baller, scoop out centers of slices without cutting through bottoms.
Fill each cucumber cup with 2 tablespoons of banana blossoms mixture.
Garnish with red bell pepper and onion leaves.
