How To Quit Smoking?

We all know that cigarette smoking is really dangerous to our body. In fact, here in the Philippines, you can see from the packaging of the cigarettes, a picture of a person who is suffering from a disease that he gets from his smoking habits. Indeed, from that picture it is really alarming. But then again, some people still smoke. The truth is, quitting smoking is difficult to break because of the nicotine that is present from the tobacco plant. According to Cancer Institute, “The addiction to cigarettes and other tobacco products that nicotine causes are similar to the addiction produced by using drugs such as heroin and cocaine.”

 

Now a days, most of us already know what are the health problems that caused by cigarettes. Smoking causes stroke, heart disease, aneurysm, tuberculosis, diabetes, osteoporosis rheumatoid arthritis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Yes, frequent smoking causes to cancer of the mouth, lungs, esophagus, larynx, pancreas, stomach,bladder, kidney, colon and even rectum.

 

To slowly quit smoking, some people opted to e-cigarettes. My question, is e- cigarette not bad for one’s health? Well to share you an informative, I just read an article from Carabean 360 that, “Recently, researchers from the University of Athens Medical School found that inhaling nicotine vapor from the electronic devices damages key blood vessels, raising the risk of heart disease.” And “While most experts agree that they are less harmful than smoking tobacco, some are concerned that they are still a risk to health.” For these reasons, it’s better to be cautious of what we are inhaling.
